Reminiscing Seoul - Beginning / End of my Visit (Seouloistic Jesse - 24 hours stay in Seoul , Korea)

I am an avid fan of K-drama (korean drama) since full house became a hit in Asia.
However only sometime last 2014 have the thought and means to go there.
I told myself  I have to see the city no matter what..
So one fine day , I just submit our documents.
We are supposed to be total of four  to explore the place due to schedules and visa formality the rest of "The Quetz" unable to get the visa.

Visa Validity 3 Months - Single Entry

Since, I got this might as well push through so the next time I will be familiar to the place.

Planned my trip, research the places I would like to see , how to go there, things to buy.

My original plan was to stay at least 4 days , going only on my off days however my

colleague had an emergency and I couldn't say NO to her,  to do her duty.

Hence, already set to go , told myself " I got to travel and let's see what's  24 hours " can do me for me.

Although I got these I forgot one of the most important thing when you travel,the universal adapter I couldn't charge my gadgets , good thing I stay only for 24 hours.  So a universal adapter is a must when you travel guys.

So this is my Itinerary  for this journey.

Day One - Checked in  at the Hotel by 1900- onwards. Advised them before hand , that I will be checking in late as  my flight will arrived only by 1600 onwards. The moment I approached them they knew already who I am. I really like the customer service in the hotel. Always they make it personal that touch your heart.

By 2030hrs  - head out to  Myeondong street for  Shopping. Which is just at the back of  my hotel. When I got there, people just starting to come. It was really a busy streets , locals and tourist looking for something to buy.  Noticed that even that they  don't speak the common language they can still haggle. Vendors are carrying a calculator you will just type the price you want and if you're good at it, you will get discounts. I admit my level for haggling is 5 or average  only. I profile the salesperson and then use this skills sometimes I will get it ,sometimes no. But most of the time if I like something I will just buy it.

By 2230 Already back in the Hotel. Finished taking shower and this when I realized that no adapter for my gadgets. I couldn't call hubby however managed to send message and my phone said " Annyeong".  I was too tired to call housekeeping, the moment i  laid my back to the bed my eyes  just shut down.

After 12 hours  .. I woke up and geared up to go explore the city.

Day Two..

I woke up like this peg..I decided  to go gypsy look for my adventure today.

People here are so stylist, so why not accessorize a little.

So by 0800 , out from my hotel and start exploring.

Of course it's not a surprised, I should  have known that this is too early for the city to be awake. I couldn't find any restaurant open. So I walk farther down and found a 7-Eleven store. Bought for me a snack sandwich and a T-Money. I read it in one of the travel blogger that it's easy to use  here.
Actually yesterday, learned that it's better to use this instead of carrying money or won. This one of the place that i been a millionaire in 24 hours just by using their currency (wink). One USD is equivalent more or less around 1147.18 South Korean Won.

Got myself a Hello kitty T-Money with swarovski's cut crystal.

I didn't even remove the packaging because it's so cute don't want to damage it.

Even the salesperson told me " Don't remove . It's still  going to work".

Load some Won (korean currency) on it. 

Use it for my transportation and some shops who are accepting it.

Salesperson even give me map to help me to go around Seoul and ride the subway.

To my surprised, just by reading this map I didn't get lost.

Went down  Hongik University Station (Seoul Subway Line 2), Exit 9.

Follow the crowd, cross the street and take a path circling around to look for Hello Kitty Cafe instead a found the TRICK EYE Museum and was not disappointed (full blog check out Reminiscing Seoul).

I asked what it is? The lady receptionist told me " not good for  you " and  she

 couldn't explain properly just pointing at this picture. And then it hit me ,

" Love Museum " .

It's actually three Museum in this building as you go  down the basement.

Ice Museum is still not open so I wasn't able to take a picture .

Back to  the road, searching for the Hello Kitty Cafe . After circling around again, found out that Hello Kitty Cafe was just next street. When I got there there was a truck cleaning the place so I didn't bother to take photo outside  and the moment I got out , no battery on all my gadgets. The photo inside as well got corrupted. I could only save this snaps.

Told myself I will definitely comeback to this place, by the way Hello Kitty Cafe moved
to new place . Looking forward to see it in the near future with my munchkins.

Mid-day I was back in the Hotel to fix my luggage and to Check-out.

Check-out time I missed, I had to pay extra because I took a nap and miss my check-out
time. I was willing to pay full for extra day as other normal hotel rule. However, they just charged me half the price for one day.

Still i had time,decided to go to LOTTE department store, went to the duty free level got some stuff like the lacoste polo shirts I bought for Mr. Quetz. Got myself another freebie,if you spent a certain minimum amount you will be invited to their Cafe lounge and will get a free coffee.

Catch the afternoon bus to the Airport.

For tourist you can have  a tax refund on the items you purchased . Remember to remind the sales agent when you're paying. The refund you can do at the airport. Asked the airport staff for direction.

So that's complete my journey to this beautiful city of Seoul. I wish to comeback and explore more attractions. And next time you be seeing the "The Quetz ".
