2014 had been good to our family, we were able to see beautiful faces, cities, cultures and traditions. One of those cities is Singapore!
It was also the first time that our family traveled alone without chaperones (just kidding!). We still didn't have Miah at this time, that's another story to follow. This was actually my second time to visit this country. But this time around it is much more beautiful and fun because I was there with my loved ones. It was my children's vacation so we decided to meet up in Singapore. My hubby was taking his vacation in the Philippines so I was left working. My children were complaining that they didn't have anything to do during that summer. So I told my husband why not treat them, they have anyways been good that school year.
So I told him to meet me up at Singapore with the kids!
My landing look after a seven-hour and ten-minute flight. Oops, did i not mention I had no slept here. I took the flight after a twelve-hour shift, just had a nap as I couldn't sleep properly on the aircraft. However, I was still grateful because I got these three seats all for me.
I was flying to my children like a Superwoman (wink) just to spend time with them and create beautiful memories. As an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker), who is living without my kids (everyday), I would like to tell them that although we are apart we love them dearly... all these sacrifices are for them... that they have to live life to the fullest... as this is a gift from GOD! And to have faith that everything will fall into it's right place in GOD's perfect timing.
Our faces when we saw each other at the airport. Smiles as bright as the sunshine. Moments like this need to be treasured. This will be in our minds whenever we are sad, lonely and all the other mixed emotions which will cheer us up whenever were down. As for me, this will be one of my trinkets truly worth keeping in my treasure room.
We stayed there for 3 days as again I went only during my off days. So join me and my family as we explore the area with the limited time we got. As my Husband always says when in tour "let's get lost!"
Though I was here several years ago, I still couldn't remember how I went around and about, as I didn't document it, only photographed. This time around, I want my children to remember that each moment with them was a treasure to keep.
We arrived on 23rd April 2014 and to left on 25th April 2014.
What to do in Singapore for 3 days and travelling with children?
This is how we did it...
First, checked in to our accommodation.
I have booked a room at Venue hotel. I read good reviews... That it is accessible to transportation, grocery store around the corner, nearby restaurants, though it is old it was newly renovated, still worth your money. This is our essentials and a must for us for our board and lodging.
Their local currency is called Singaporean dollar and the rate is equivalent to 0.705 USD.
The Singapore Flyer is located between the last two turns (22 – 23) of the Marina Bay Street Circuit and offers several vantage points of the Pit Building and starting grid, some 165 metres above the track. Race Marshals and formula one fanatic will understand. Below is the night view of the place.

This was what our first-day activity was like... to explore, eat and have lots and lots of fun! The following day is another day for "The Quetz". We will get to see where our feet will take us. Travelling with children is quite challenging even though you planned ahead, you never know what will happen. If the children are always in the good mood, easy to pursuade them. So make them happy and at ease all the time so you will be worry and stress free.
