The Quetz Travel - Ocean Park - Aquarium

And our adventure continues at the Aquarium. Almost midday or that what our stomach says so telling us that "we are famished "when we reached there. We don't know actually what's inside, we just love the facts that we are all discovering it for the first time.
Yes, I have been here years ago however a lot of things is different and unfamiliar to me now. Way back then they are still doing some renovations and some of the areas are closed for the public. The only thing that I can remember and won't forget are the Pandas. They are so cute and adorable even if they do nothing. I guess it's the same for my Munchkins Jaja and Memes and the entire family here Pandas are adorable.
Our journey in the Aquarium starts at this entrance below with plants and reefs.

Jaja's not feeling the vibes here

Actually, the place is kind of dark for my kids, as we go inside we see reef tunnels, shallow pools and domes they find it creepy. And sometimes they just pretend to look to show that they are brave. The small colourful fishes they like and adore until they start looking at the tiny sea creatures like sea dragons, sea horses, cuttlefish and so forth names I don't know as well and they start liking it.
Big Fishes
Memes: Medium Fish are still Scary Granny.

Can you recognize this fish?

Memes: can we go now Ate Jaja?
A different kind of Frog

The aquarium gives us a cold dim ambience in the beginning as we go inside we feel relax just by looking at the school of fishes swimming in harmony, the lively colours whenever the light strikes at them. And how the small, medium and large fish are in one dwelling and swimming in the same direction in a coordinated manner amazes us. We all are in awed whether what kind of age or generations we are.

Seals are highly carnivorous marine animals that hunt fish, squid, shrimp and crabs for food. They live in Arctic, Antarctic, Northern Pacific, South America, Antartica, southwestern Africa and southern Australia. The reason that they are almost everywhere depends on what kind of Seal they are. Like the Fur Seals and Sea Lions live in the Northern Pacific between Asia and North America. This is the most familiar for us as we live in Asia. We are blessed that we saw how they feed them and do the tricks and at the same time.

Grand Aquarium

The finale of the grand Aquarium is the 13-meter wide gallery where you can have a panoramic view of this massive aquarium.
Grand Aquarium is awesome. It is massive, so much marine life that we can only see on television or the internet. They come in different sizes, colours and shapes. Just watching them swim is simply amazing. Even you are not marine lovers after you finish exploring the place you will be one just like us. This aquarium is a home for over 5,000 fish or more of different kinds of species. Imagine that.

Our photos cannot give justification for how amazing this place. We visit during the daytime even though there is a little rain still we are able to get sunlight. Sunlight shimmers through the fishes and domes, which is really a good sight.
This journey is entertaining, educational and about overcoming fears for dark or dim places for my children.

Ocean Park is Hongkong theme park for marine mammals park, animal and amusement park. Second to the largest theme Park here in Hongkong which is Disneyland a must-see attraction if you happened to pass by in this side of the World.

How to get there: You can ride a taxi however during this time we find it difficult.
The reason is the language barrier several times on this journey we rode a taxi and we got lost. So I suggest to take the public transport it is easier and they have good signage.
By Citybus Ocean Park Express Route 629 from Central direct to the Theme Park. It is easy, convenient and affordable. You can pay through Octopus Card or Exact Fare on board as the will not give you change.

Take Ocean Park Express:

Some tips from our travel experience here:
1. Buy your tickets before arriving at Ocean Park because of the long queue especially when your travelling with children (like us).
2. Arrive early to avoid the Crowd or rush.
3. Bring a thin Raincoat to stay Dry (unlike us we bought there).

Divided this journey into several part blogs as there is so much to share with you all and also part of our good memories as a family. if you're reading this much I and The Quetz family thank you from the bottom of our heart. Hope you this help you or give you an idea when you plan your next adventure. Always check their Ocean Park website for updates.

See you all in the next blog adventure of "The Quetz".

The Quetz travel -Ocean Park, Hongkong - Panda

Here comes another day for our family to explore again Hong Kong,
time to see Ocean Park.
One of the reasons we came here is to see the Panda. There was a YouTube video that my Munchkins love to watch it's about the Pandas.  So they wished to see a real one, Panda is originally from China. They live in the bamboo forest at least that was always in the photo. Everybody likes them as they are so cuddly and have beautiful colors of black and white. They are some kind of bears however unlike other bears they are the rarest in the world. In fact, they are endangered species.

The last time I've been in the Ocean Park there were renovating the place, the Panda is so up close and personal with me. That they told us to keep quiet and just observe them so they will not jump on us.  I was actually with one of my BFF Weewam that time.My thoughts are they are so cute and  I don't believe that they can harm people unless threatened by humans.

Ocean Park is a marine mammal Park located on the southern side of Hong Kong.
This how to get there:
City bus 629A and 629S services will be canceled. City bus 629 service will be changed into single bound service from Central Ferry Piers to Ocean Park, which will be available every day from 9:30 am to 11:30 am (5 Departures Daily). Bus service from Ocean Park to Admiralty West or Central will be terminated.
All are subject to change.

Ocean Park opening hours are usually 10 am-6 pm (7 pm on Saturday/Sunday) but can vary so check the schedule on the Ocean Park website.https://www.oceanpark.com.hk/en/plan-your-visit/monthly-schedule
It's better to check first before going there.

Let's start exploring...

Ticket booth Entrance
This what the ticket booth entrance looks like. It's a mountain backdrop. We decided to take a picture to capture the moment. We actually purchase our ticket here we didn't check whether online would be cheaper. So my suggestion, check the website for online ticket purchase.
As you can see we are one of the first one to arrive at this theme park which is actually good. It gets crowded during the day because it is one of the best tourist attraction in Hong Kong.

Wacky pose

Up we go to see the Panda, come with us.

Main Entrance

The Quetz is here...

Another view

Another view of the same
As we enter the main entrance this what we saw "Water" the view was just spectacular to us.Of course, cant help it. We have to pose and strike. When we visited Hong Kong it was during the rainy season that's why we carry an umbrella and you can see it from the sky in the photo below. The sky is a bit gloomy with a mild cold breeze. As long as the rain will not drop, it is a nice weather for us.

Where is Mommy? (pointing towards me look)

Let's try to be a Ship Captain.

Hello, I'm driving.
Back to where we suppose to go, to see the Giant Pandas. Well, we didn't exactly look at the map here we just went where we saw a Panda Statue and where most of the people go we follow. So we ended up here.

I will always love this photo siblings hug of my Munchkins.

Well, we can't see anything here. So we decided to go move to the next one.

Is that a Monkey?

Is that a Monkey? We thought we are going to see the Pandas.. Where are they? This what we are mumbling about until the staff informing all the people here to be quiet.

Anyhow, we are here to enjoy whatever we will see. What else to do is to strike a pose and have our official photographer Daddy Quetz take our photos.

Birthday Celebrant Jaja's look...

Don't look at me look rather look at the wall and panda, please...

Tita Kaye with the Birthday celebrant Jaja.
And finally Daddy Quetz able to get a nice shot of the Panda. They are really so cute and cuddly. Munchkins were so excited as well as all of us as we saw this panda having his or her meal as I am not sure of the gender. Or who is this Panda from Ying Ying or Le Le?

Whatever we got what we came here for and that is satisfying. Mixed of emotion from excitement, amazement, mesmerized all the other which can be associated with happiness.
When observing them, we have to be quiet and take the photo with no flash so that they will not be disturb. Otherwise, you will be kicked out from the observatory area. There are lots of eyes watching here. For now, enjoy these photos.

This how spectacular the view in this Theme Park. This after we exited from the Panda observatory area.

The statue we saw that leads us to this side of the Park.Beautiful art for my Munchkins.

And finally, information on this place. Truly amazing that we are in this place and have a look on these amazing Pandas.
Before we exit we are able to and shop at their souvenir store. However unable to get a photo inside. One of the items that we purchase is this headdress panda which until now my Munchkin keepsake.

Chinese Fairy
Well, this is just the beginning of our exploration of this Park. Stay tuned for more and what else we saw in this place. In this part, we prioritize and see what we came here for. And Thank GOD we weren't disappointed.

See you later on the next blog.
