The Quetz travel -Ocean Park, Hongkong - Panda

Here comes another day for our family to explore again Hong Kong,
time to see Ocean Park.
One of the reasons we came here is to see the Panda. There was a YouTube video that my Munchkins love to watch it's about the Pandas.  So they wished to see a real one, Panda is originally from China. They live in the bamboo forest at least that was always in the photo. Everybody likes them as they are so cuddly and have beautiful colors of black and white. They are some kind of bears however unlike other bears they are the rarest in the world. In fact, they are endangered species.

The last time I've been in the Ocean Park there were renovating the place, the Panda is so up close and personal with me. That they told us to keep quiet and just observe them so they will not jump on us.  I was actually with one of my BFF Weewam that time.My thoughts are they are so cute and  I don't believe that they can harm people unless threatened by humans.

Ocean Park is a marine mammal Park located on the southern side of Hong Kong.
This how to get there:
City bus 629A and 629S services will be canceled. City bus 629 service will be changed into single bound service from Central Ferry Piers to Ocean Park, which will be available every day from 9:30 am to 11:30 am (5 Departures Daily). Bus service from Ocean Park to Admiralty West or Central will be terminated.
All are subject to change.

Ocean Park opening hours are usually 10 am-6 pm (7 pm on Saturday/Sunday) but can vary so check the schedule on the Ocean Park website.https://www.oceanpark.com.hk/en/plan-your-visit/monthly-schedule
It's better to check first before going there.

Let's start exploring...

Ticket booth Entrance
This what the ticket booth entrance looks like. It's a mountain backdrop. We decided to take a picture to capture the moment. We actually purchase our ticket here we didn't check whether online would be cheaper. So my suggestion, check the website for online ticket purchase.
As you can see we are one of the first one to arrive at this theme park which is actually good. It gets crowded during the day because it is one of the best tourist attraction in Hong Kong.

Wacky pose

Up we go to see the Panda, come with us.

Main Entrance

The Quetz is here...

Another view

Another view of the same
As we enter the main entrance this what we saw "Water" the view was just spectacular to us.Of course, cant help it. We have to pose and strike. When we visited Hong Kong it was during the rainy season that's why we carry an umbrella and you can see it from the sky in the photo below. The sky is a bit gloomy with a mild cold breeze. As long as the rain will not drop, it is a nice weather for us.

cute

Where is Mommy? (pointing towards me look)

Let's try to be a Ship Captain.

Hello, I'm driving.
Back to where we suppose to go, to see the Giant Pandas. Well, we didn't exactly look at the map here we just went where we saw a Panda Statue and where most of the people go we follow. So we ended up here.

I will always love this photo siblings hug of my Munchkins.

Well, we can't see anything here. So we decided to go move to the next one.

Is that a Monkey?

Is that a Monkey? We thought we are going to see the Pandas.. Where are they? This what we are mumbling about until the staff informing all the people here to be quiet.

Anyhow, we are here to enjoy whatever we will see. What else to do is to strike a pose and have our official photographer Daddy Quetz take our photos.

Birthday Celebrant Jaja's look...

Don't look at me look rather look at the wall and panda, please...

Tita Kaye with the Birthday celebrant Jaja.
And finally Daddy Quetz able to get a nice shot of the Panda. They are really so cute and cuddly. Munchkins were so excited as well as all of us as we saw this panda having his or her meal as I am not sure of the gender. Or who is this Panda from Ying Ying or Le Le?

Whatever we got what we came here for and that is satisfying. Mixed of emotion from excitement, amazement, mesmerized all the other which can be associated with happiness.
When observing them, we have to be quiet and take the photo with no flash so that they will not be disturb. Otherwise, you will be kicked out from the observatory area. There are lots of eyes watching here. For now, enjoy these photos.

This how spectacular the view in this Theme Park. This after we exited from the Panda observatory area.

The statue we saw that leads us to this side of the Park.Beautiful art for my Munchkins.

And finally, information on this place. Truly amazing that we are in this place and have a look on these amazing Pandas.
Before we exit we are able to and shop at their souvenir store. However unable to get a photo inside. One of the items that we purchase is this headdress panda which until now my Munchkin keepsake.

Chinese Fairy
Well, this is just the beginning of our exploration of this Park. Stay tuned for more and what else we saw in this place. In this part, we prioritize and see what we came here for. And Thank GOD we weren't disappointed.

See you later on the next blog.

After Disneyland -- Dinner time at Han-Yang Won Restaurant- The Quetz travel 2013

After Disneyland, our relatives in Hong kong took us for dinner at Han-Yang Won Restaurant.Sounds Korean?
Yes, it is a Korean buffet Restaurant at Hong Kong. Actually, I was shocked as to why they took us there instead of a Chinese Restaurant. And the minute that we walk in, it's not only a buffet which offers Korean food, it has food variations from Thai, Japanese and Chinese.

They have great soups, appetizers, and vegetables (raw and cooked). They got a great selection of marinated meat and seafood that you can cook from your table. They got a good selection of desserts especially loves their flavored Ice Cream. They have all types of juices and soju.

As we are so many we took the long table and luckily we have Ahjumma Ate to assist us.
She took care of us while we dine here (see first photo below).

Our tummy satisfied, nice restaurant ambiance, staff are friendly and courteous.
We had a great laugh and Mama and her nieces got great talks and have time to catch up with gossips (wink).

Memes goofing around

Panda Memes says Hello

As I wasn't able to take a photo of the food here, just take a look at our table so you can have an idea.
Some of us, just like my children, if the food on the table was not familiar they don't want to eat neither taste it. However, tonight is something different for them they are able to eat and had fun too. Elder people always say "A Happy tummy means Happy People".

Jaja and Memes wacky face

Back to chow time.

We were here from 2000 -till it is almost closing time. We took time to eat, drink, savor the taste of the food. Our relatives and granny took this time as well to talk about life, hang around with each other as they haven't seen each other after long years. Everybody was busy with work, children had grown up and so many other stuff. As for me, I savor all the foods I could eat and Aunt Kaye's moment as well, as this will be a treat for her after graduating from Medical School. A lot of things going on at one long table like this.

All the happy Faces you see is because they love the foods. We all deserved to eat such a feast after a day from work or for us after a day we explore Disneyland. A night we can treasure to remember, this place is like cloud nine for the tummy. And didn't I mentioned that is not pricey, it's worth the money.
They have four branches in Hong kong:
Address 1: Jd Mall, 235 Nathan Road, Jordan, Hong Kong
Address 2: Chung Kiu Commercial Building, 51, 47-51 Shan Tng Street, Hong Kong
Address 3: 5 Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
Address 4: 1 Great George St. East Point, Hong kong

If you happened to be near these places, visit and taste the food.

Munchkins tummies are full

Sister love

Panda dining with us, LOL!

Panda's sleeping now after food

It was a beautiful and feastful dinner with our relatives in Hong Kong. Everybody ate to their heart's content. We share some laughs, talk about what we did for the day.It was a memory to remember for my Jaja as this is part of her 7th Birthday Celebration.

Food is worth the money we paid for. Cool ambiance and nice staff. Affordable and filling Korean/Asian buffet. There locations or branches are easy to find. It is situated to busy place. Lots of variations of food, for sure you will find one to your liking.  The food is fresh, the place is clean and the server always changes our grill. Self-cooking, marinated meats, cooked food, drinks on the tap, dessert, fruits, the list goes on. Overall, we loved it and for sure we will come back with a bigger crowd. Good food always nice to share with someone you love.

Writing this blog in memory of our Ate Felicing who is not anymore with us. Only met you twice however you have shown us that aside from your awesome appetite, you also have a generous and loving heart.

Till next blog guys. The Quetz will see you later.

The Quetz Travel to Hongkong Disneyland - Evening

Still here at TomorrowLand, this place means future like the back in the future kind of thing (first thought)? I guess not.. It's like a Sci-fi meets FantasyLand. It gives us a view in the future about the space travel and exploration.

Due to time constraints plus the fact that, not all the ride we can enjoy due to my little munchkins. We just decided to take photos and stroll around..

BTW, there are five main attractions here. Namely Stitch Encounter, an interactive character show where guest interact with Sticth. Secondly,Orbitron it is a simple spinning ride (up and down motion). Thirdly,Autopia it is the park's circuit driving attraction.Where you get to drive a slow electric vehicle along with the track. Fourth,Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. It is an interactive dark ride, feature fully rotatable vehicles and has a movable laser guns. A kind of slow moving ride , with  score targets however no price if you get the highest score, still entertaining and fun. Lastly, the Space Mountain which is a roller coaster attraction.

Catch you Buzz

The Quetz and Buzz to infinity and beyond..

I guess we are blessed to see Buzz here as we are unable to enjoy the rides. Still it was fun and entertaining just seeing this character come to life. The other buildings at this place are restaurants, with very nice roofs. Tomorrowland has the largest restaurant in the park, it's called the Starliner Diner. It is a fast food  which serves burgers, fries, chicken wings and more.

Inside the future OOTD

Smile Memes we are with Panda Astronaut

The Quetz were here to travel to space and beyond.

Strong Jaja carrying the world .

So that complete our tour around the TomorrowLand,  as the sun goes down we need to get going and move to the other themes of this Park.

Since it's almost dark, we decided to take  the train at the Hongkong Disneyland Railroad- Main Street Station. It is a vintage locomotive for a scenic tour at the Park. It is one of the easy and quick way to go around. Because the train are scheduled to arrive at each station every 5 to 15  minutes throughout the day. While riding the train you will hear the clamor of the engine, chug of the wheels and the call of the whistle. The train stops at Main Street, U.S.A. and FantasyLand. It also the perfect way to see the scenery at Hongkong Disneyland Park.

The seats or benches face the park (see photo below) so you can see and enjoy the spectacular views of the theme park. There are 2 trains in total is called the "Walt" and the Disney train.

on the train

Enjoying the view while riding the train.

Adventureland
Our next stop was the  jungle - themed area of wild animals, savage headhunters and rain forests. The themed  park resembles the remote jungles like Africa, Asia, South America and South Pacific. There are four things to see and explore in this theme park like Jungle River Cruise ride,Tarzan's tree house, Liki tikis and Festival of the Lion.

Again, due to time constraints and my munchkins were scared of the sound of the jungle we could only enjoy the Jungle River Cruise ride around the the theme park, see Tarzan tree house and Liki tikis. Each boat has a tourist guide explaining what we can see around, so it was still fun.

Jaja covering her ears as she doesn't want to hear the jungle sound.

Boarded the Jungle Cruise ride boat.

Waving goodbye to people on queue.

And here are some of the photo .

Hippo on the side.

As it gets dark, still were taking photo at this Pixie Hollow because it's so cute.

Fantasyland again, because it's situated at the back of the park and flanked by AdventureLand on the left and TomorrowLand on the right.

Bye for now guys ...

Almost all people on mobile phone , Internet connection is fast here.

Munchkins are all so tired .

Finally train arrived.
And that ends our day trip to Hongkong Disneyland, for us who have small kid below 5 years old , a day trip will be okay. However, for bigger kids and young at hearts, a day will not be enough to really explore this beautiful theme park.

A lot to consider like the queue on each ride, the phase how we walk on each areas and how much time we spent on each themes parks. Hongkong Disneyland has a different things to offer it's guest, highly recommended to make each one happy at the end of the tour.

Will definitely comeback to this happy land.

We are all tired however happy to visit this place. See for yourselves and experience it.
The Quetz saying goodnight and see you on the next blog.

This was just posted by me now as I want to remember and feel again the happiness when we travel.
Some of the attractions might change, just look  at the Hongkong Disneyland official website for updates.
